Who we are
StringArtGeo, a small handmade string-art workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia. You can reach us on Instagram or Facebook.
What we collect, and why
- Name and phone or email — only when you type them into the order form or the generator's contact box. Used solely to reply to you about that specific request.
- Your comment / message — whatever you choose to write in the form.
- Photos you upload to the generator — used to compute the sketch, then deleted from the server as soon as the sketch is produced. The generated sketch image and its 6-digit code are kept so you can look the order up later.
- A photo you attach to an order — the picture you would like made. Unlike the
generator's, this one is kept with the order, because it is what the piece is made from. It is
stored where the web cannot reach it, is visible only to us after logging in, and is never
published on this site or shown to anyone else. It is deleted with the order.
On arrival it is scaled down and re-saved, which removes the hidden data a camera writes into a photo file — including the GPS coordinates of where the picture was taken. We never see them and never store them. - Technical data — your IP address is recorded briefly with generator runs to limit abuse (no more than 3 runs per 10 minutes), and with failed admin logins.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Giving us your contact is optional
You can order entirely by messaging us on Instagram or Facebook and never fill in a form on this site. The generator works without leaving any contact at all — the code alone is enough for us to find your sketch.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we may need them to make, deliver or re-make your piece. Photos uploaded to the generator are deleted right after the sketch is generated; a photo attached to an order is kept with that order and goes when it goes. You can ask us to delete your order, your photo and your contact details at any time.
Your rights
Under Georgian data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Message us on Instagram or Facebook and we will do it.
